Things you play with together, and things they are allowed to destroy.

Toys are for doing something with your dog. Tug, fetch, a chew they are allowed to wreck. The useful ones need you in the room, which is the point: play is where a lot of training quietly happens, and a good game of tug is a better reward than most treats. Nothing here is meant to be left down all day.
